Annual Installation of Officers was an Historic Event
On Saturday, June 29, 2019, four Dallas Masonic Lodges, Tannehill No. 52, Pentagon No. 1080, Highland Park No. 1150, and Sam P. Cochran No. 1335, gathered together at the Dallas Scottish Rite Cathedral to hold their annual Installation of Officers. In modern Dallas Masonic History, each of these lodges has traditionally held an individual ceremony, but that was not always the case.
Back in 1921, 6 new Masonic Lodges were formed in Dallas County and held their inaugural Installation of Officers together at the Dallas Scottish Rite Cathedral. One of these six lodges was Highland Park Masonic Lodge No. 1150. Serving as the installing Master of Ceremonies for the event was Past Grand Master Brother Sam P. Cochran while the sitting Masters of Tannehill and Pentagon Lodges assisted as installing Marshals. After the ceremony, everyone gathered in the Crystal Ballroom for a fellowship dinner
