Masons of Dallas Support Education

On Wednesday evening March 28, 2018, Tannehill Masonic Lodge No. 52 along with many other lodges in Dallas showed their support for Dallas Education in an event sponsored by the 14th District Masters Wardens and Secretary's Association. Tannehill Masonic Lodge partnered with the Judge Barefoot Sanders Law Magnet at Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center to award the Mirabeau B. Lamar Medal to two outstanding educators.

Annually, Tannehill Masonic Lodge awards at least two Scholarships to students. As part of the application process, we ask the students which teachers have impacted them the most over the last year. We were lucky this year, out of the 10 applications received there were two clear standout educators. Mrs.. Jennifer Barclay, and Mr. Derek Liles (Click names to read bios). Both educators had impressive biographies and obviously have a passion for teaching and serving the young people of Dallas.

Tannehill Masonic Lodge is proud to recognize the sacrifices and service of Mrs. Barclay and Mr. Liles. Both teachers were presented with a certificate, medal, and financial award. Congratulations to you both and keep up the good work!
