Through Unity Strength

"Behold how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity"

Psalm 133

Fellowcraft Degree 1/23/18

Every Tuesday night at the Dallas Scottish Rite Cathedral you will find at least three Masonic Lodges hard at work: Tannehill Lodge No. 52, Highland Park Lodge No. 1150, and Pentagon Lodge No. 1080. These three lodges consistently work hard for their members and their communities. This past Tuesday was no exception, however, rather than working individually the three lodges came together for what ended up becoming a great night in Texas Masonry.

Over 30 Brothers donned their aprons and filed into one of the lodge rooms to confer the Fellowcraft Degree on three Brothers. Each lodge expertly performed the ritual and afterward, I believe everyone in attendance felt the fraternal bonds that were being formed and strengthened within those walls. In the fast paced world we live in, it becomes almost routine for us to try and rush through everything we do, but, on Tuesday night everyone was able to slow down, relax, and work together as Brothers to serve each other. Often when meetings, whether they be at work, lodge, or anyplace take a long time people lose interest or complain about the length of the event. However, this particular night, although the meeting was long, everyone was engaged because we had a common purpose.

On Tuesday we truly "dwell(ed) together in unity"

Congratulations to Texas' Newest Fellowcraft Masons
