Dale Jolliff is a native Texan, raised in Athens, Texas, where his parents still reside. Dale graduated from Athens High School and then moved to Austin for college. He then enlisted in the Navy. He served on guided missile cruisers home ported in San Diego, California, at the 32nd Street Naval Base, and at the Yokosuka Naval Base in Japan.
After leaving the Navy, Dale transitioned from engineering to the IT industry. He started as a programmer for a small company in Athens and there learned many computer languages. He next took a contract through a consulting company for IBM and there began a long career in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity.
Basing himself in Irving, Texas he has worked around the country with companies such as Texas Instruments, Bayer U.S., and SunGard. While working in Southern New Jersey he met Rose and they were married in 2007, moving to Irving, Texas.
Dale leveraged his Business Continuity background for a position in a startup company named Data Domain. Data Domain was later purchased by EMC, one of the foremost primary and backup tier storage providers in the world. Dale now works with and tests new products and produces documentation for product and solution installation and setup.
Dale joined Tannehill Lodge No. 52 in 1999, being initiated as an Entered Apprentice on April 6, 1999, passed to the degree of Fellowcraft on January 15, 2002, and raised to a Master Mason on September 30, 2002. He has served in the line of officers 10 of the last 14 years. Tannehill Lodge No 52 has a long history and Dale’s principal goal while Worshipful Master was to preserve the heritage of the Lodge, promote, and grow Tannehill.
